Hence these questions have all got to be reexamined and reinvestigated : and without being a protectivetariff man I am free to say that I ami not a freetrade man. When England saw the necessity for her to become the manufacturiug nation for the world. it was evidently her policy to strike down and destroy all the manufactures of the other nations so that she mightsupply the demand.
