Arizona a few years ago and until very recently was so infested with these marauding Indians that no white man felt safe in any part of that Territory. Peace. I may say. now reigns throughout Arizona. and immigration is beginning to pour into that country. Although not rich in lands. it is an extremely rich Territory in minerals. and it is of the very greatest consequence to the nation at large that the Territory should be settled by a white population. White people will not go there as long as these Indians are permitted toroamatlarge inthe country.
