I refor him to the statute of February 10. 1855. (10 Statutes at Large. page 604.) which provides "that any woman who might legally be naturalized tnder the existing laws. married. or whoshall be usarried. to a citizen of tie United States. shall be deceed and taken to be a citizen." There is an explicit statutory provision. I am not discussing whether it is or is not a desirable provision. but I repeat the laNv enacted by this statute as to the United States is recognized as will. I think. by every European government except Groat Britain today.
